HEIR PORTER

Arrington Porter (aka Heir Porter) is a Chicago-based artist and musician whose work bridges nostalgia, identity, and cultural storytelling. Creating professionally for over 11 years, Porter draws inspiration from his childhood memories and deep love for music. Once rooted in oil painting, he now primarily works in acrylics, using the medium’s flexibility to challenge traditional fine art conventions and explore themes of past experiences, imagination, and Black identity.

A Clio Award winner, Porter’s career includes collaborations with major brands and institutions such as Disney, Google, BET, the Chicago Bears, True Religion, Levi’s, and Jordan Brand. His artwork has been featured on platforms like Good Morning America, Yahoo News, Essence, and Men’s Health, and exhibited at venues including the Museum of Science and Industry, WNDR Museum, and the Chicago Black Boy Art Show.

As a musician, his productions have been played on WGCI, Power 92, and aired on Comedy Central, with music placements on Okayplayer, Grownish, and in venues like Soldier Field. He’s caught the attention of cultural icons including Erykah Badu, Ty Dolla Sign, and Carmelo Anthony, and continues to merge disciplines through visual storytelling, music performance, and public installations.

Whether painting for Levi’s or performing at the Taste of Chicago, Porter uses every medium to reflect his unique vision and resonate with audiences across generations.
